“PANTALLA PINAMAR 2010”

Sixth Argentine – European Film Encounter
March 6th thru 13th – Bahía and Pinamar cinemas

FROM YESTERDAY TO TOMORROW…

Five editions are already in the past. They received the best of the Argentine cinema and the most relevant of the Old World cinema coined along the last five-year period. And they offered it to an ever increasing audience, to national and foreign visitors more qualified each year, to a specialized press more interested than ever in the proposals of an event which was born and keeps consolidating itself as the only joint celebration of the film products of Argentina and Europe enrolled in the overwhelming world agenda of film festivals.

Besides this fidelity to two concrete cultures (that of the host country and that of the continent to which the most settled and intense traditions link it), “Pantalla Pinamar” has been characterized by the range, diversity and plurality of its ideas, and of its programming lines. Equally interested in promoting films with a sure commercial broadcasting and also in spreading those valuable works not settled in the market yet. Applied both to the follow up of renowned authors as to the exploration of emerging talents. Dedicated to the production of each new season, but with sections and special sections devoted to detecting the most promising coming soon and to strengthening the memory and the esteem for the most transcendental of the past.

But, moreover, “Pantalla Pinamar” is a party for every audience and for every taste. Where the great industrial offer and the risky cinema converge. Where all Argentine films which received awards in the previous year in the biggest international contests meet, and where the present European film products with a minimum or null presence in our country’s exhibition circuits reveal themselves. Where there is always a window through which we can watch an American, Asian or African wonder. And so much more…

Finally, there it is, and growing, and every year renewing itself, the scenery quality of Pinamar. Its beautiful sea, dune, forest and pine landscapes. Its lights and colors, which are a caress. Its sounds and melodies, which surround. Its mystery and magic, which seduce and then never leave.

The new date is March 6th thru 13th, 2010
